Red-Black Growth · Consulting STYLE DESIGN SYSTEM
PART A — Category Baseline (Universal Minimum Standard)
A professional, information-dense consulting presentation benchmarked against leading strategy firms (McKinsey/BCG), with the visual refinement of premium editorial design.
Content and layout:
- Rich data visualization: Fill slides with sophisticated, precise charts (stacked columns, waterfall charts, line charts) and detailed data tables with complete rows and columns.
- Structured frameworks: Include strategy maps or 2×2 matrices built with fine, crisp lines.
- High information density: Use complex, multi-column layouts that resemble real business-analysis presentations, not cover slides dominated by empty space.
Visual style:
- Aesthetic: Balance technological sophistication with information density. Keep the presentation clean, clear, and authoritative.
- Typography: Use a bold sans serif for main titles; chart labels and numerical data use the same sans family.
- Color: Use a pure-white background and pure-black text; apply deep royal blue to charts and graphic elements, and distinguish hierarchy through multiple shades of gray.
- Graphics: Use fine borders for tables and precise vector lines for charts.
Structure and discipline (distilled from outputs recognized as benchmarks):
- Every content-slide title must be a complete assertion—a conclusion sentence—with a one-line scope/method subtitle beneath it explaining what the slide covers and how to read it.
- Every content slide must include a chapter breadcrumb/tab bar with the current section highlighted, so any standalone slide can be located within the overall narrative.
- Use one named analytical framework per slide, not a loose collage: a convergence-pressure bar, a phased timeline with a TODAY marker and stage gates, a three-scenario table (conservative/base/accelerated), a Five Forces diagram, a heat table, a difficulty × impact 2×2 with an observation zone, an upstream/midstream/downstream value chain, or a multidimensional profile matrix—select the framework to match the content.
- Present parallel evidence in 2–3 equal-width columns; number standalone judgments (1/2/3), each with a bold assertion line and one concise sentence of explanation.
- Chart annotation discipline: Put data labels directly on marks, add growth/level callouts (such as “+42% p.a.”), include a TODAY marker, use dashed lines for forecasts, and pair uncertain quantities with named monitoring indicators; never rely on a legend alone.
- Close most slides with a bottom synthesis strip (“How to Read This Slide” / “Profile Interpretation” / a one-sentence so-what) that converts the evidence above into a single takeaway.
- Fixed slide essentials: Place the source/footnote line at bottom left and the slide number at bottom right; never omit them or treat them as decoration. Generated decks must never include watermarks, confidentiality notices/stamps, copyright lines, or logo placeholders.
- Open with a one-slide executive summary plus a numbered, paginated contents page; close with numbered conclusions (claims, not summaries) plus an implications slide organized by reader type (for example, policymakers/operators/buyers), with each column ending in concrete actions.
- Every number must include its unit, time range, and measurement basis; express uncertainty through observable monitoring indicators, not hedging language.
Default baseline (derived from the layout skill; PART B may override): Content slides use dense, multi-column layouts and must contain at least one complex chart or one multi-row, multi-column data table. Never use “one oversized sentence + a large empty field” as a content slide. Build framework diagrams (strategy maps/2×2/driver trees) with fine, crisp vector lines rather than stacked color blocks. Tables use fine borders without heavy fills. Limit each slide to ≤2 primary hues.
Title read-through test: Reading only the slide titles from beginning to end should reveal the complete story. If they do not read as a coherent sequence, the structure has not been established.
Priority note: This section defines the minimum baseline for consulting use cases. Where the signature system below (PART B) conflicts with it, follow the signature system—especially for backgrounds, color, and typography. The typography and color guidance above applies only when the signature system is silent.
Global Prohibitions (Default AI Patterns · Mandatory)
- Do not default to cards: Unless explicitly requested by the user, never use rounded rectangles or rectangular cards to create hierarchy or alignment—containers with a genuine information function (status indicators, assumption boxes, quotation frames) are not considered cards. Lines, whitespace, type size, and weight contrast are preferred.
- Do not use equal-partition compositions by default: Unless no other viable layout exists, do not default to three equal sections, four equal sections, or a two-by-two matrix. Equal partitioning must be justified by the content structure (three scenarios naturally warrant three columns; explicitly named frameworks are exempt).
- Do not use unmotivated AI color schemes: Institution-specific palettes defined in the content are exempt. What is prohibited is a generic, conventional, unsupported default palette—blue-purple gradients, cyan-purple neon, rainbow light effects, glass cards, and glowing borders.
- Do not introduce elements that conflict with the overall style: Never use out-of-style treatments, such as rounded icons or rounded rectangles in a sharp-edged design system.
- Keep chart backgrounds transparent: Use transparency or the slide background, except when reversing content out of a dark background.
- Do not leave blank regions: Leave no entire content region empty. Every planned area must be filled with real content; an unfilled region is the most serious form of visual roughness.
PART B — Signature System (Distinctive Template Signature; This Section Overrides PART A in Case of Conflict)
One-sentence style signature: A white-background, high-density growth-consulting deck that organizes evidence with near-black text and a single coral-red focal point, uses light gray to carry detail, and resolves the story with reversed text on near-black (based on a small 8-slide source sample).
【Color Palette】 Background #FFFFFF: Fill the entire canvas. Primary text #454545: Use for body copy, axis labels, and connector lines, never as a large background. Title color #0F0605: Reserve for titles, assertions, and large numbers. Primary accent #FF4D4D: Use only for pivotal shifts, leading items, or central nodes; allow at most 1 large color block per slide, covering no more than approximately 20%. Secondary #F6F6F6: Use as an evidence background, limited to 30% of a slide; #909090: Use only for subtitles, annotations, and small footer text; #DDDBDB: Use only for fine borders; #FFF1F1: Use as a pale-red module background, limited to 15%; #FED8D8: Use only for pale-red borders; #1C0B0B: Use for a narrow conclusion strip or a single outcome node, limited to 8%. Chart series #FF4D4D, #454545, and #BDBDBD are for marks only; gridlines use #E0E6F1. Do not assign separate positive/negative colors: red indicates emphasis only; show negative direction with #454545 / #BDBDBD, arrows, and text. Allow only 1 non-neutral hue per slide; never flood the full slide with red.
【Layout Skeleton】 Source canvas: 13.333×7.5 inches, 16:9. Position the title 5% from the left and 5% from the top, at approximately 90% width; place the subtitle at 11% from the top. The content area spans 18%–88% vertically, with approximately 5% margins on both sides. Common structures are “primary evidence 60% + explanation 40%” and “input 30% + conversion 25% + outcome 30%.” Override PART A: Do not use chapter tabs/breadcrumbs. Use only read-through titles and a two-digit “current slide / total slides” indicator at bottom right for navigation; place the source at bottom left. Framework slides flow left → right with arrows. Do not create separate cover, contents, or section-divider slides for short reports; special slides in long reports inherit PART A.
【Typography】 Source-file facts: The entire deck is sans serif; all PPTX text runs use Liter, while the theme font is MiSans. The PDF primarily embeds Hiragino Sans GB W3/W6, with Arial Black for large numbers; export substitution is present. Prefer Liter; if unavailable, use MiSans or Hiragino Sans GB, overriding PART A’s serif titles. Body copy 8.5pt=1x, titles 24pt≈2.8x, major statements/numbers 20–30pt≈2.4–3.5x, footnotes 7.5pt≈0.88x. Set titles and numbers in extra-bold weight; use regular weight for explanations. Use Arabic numerals with units immediately following; format stage numbers as 01, 02, and set Latin abbreviations in uppercase.
【Chart Language】 Practical types: clustered column charts, clustered bar charts, and fine-rule data tables. Framework options also include arrow-based causal chains, convergence–release diagrams, stepped roadmaps, and KPI matrices. ⭐Use #FF4D4D for the target column/bar; use only #454545 or #BDBDBD for comparators; place values directly inside the columns/bars. ⭐For comparisons, use paired small multiples with the same scale, followed by a precise-value table; use red and gray on one side and gray only on the other. ⭐Place at most 1 shadow-free, pale-red delta box beside the chart, containing one line of large numerals and one line of explanation. ⭐Occasional pattern: Route light-gray inputs through straight arrows into a single red node, then into a pale-red or near-black outcome. ⭐Occasional pattern: Build a four-step roadmap from equal-width right-angled stage blocks that rise progressively, each with its own evidence box.
【Signature Components】 Coral-red focal block: Carries the single core relationship; use at most 1 per slide. KPI evidence brick: A square-cornered #F6F6F6 background with a fine #DDDBDB border, containing one ultra-bold number and 1–2 lines defining its measurement basis; use 2–5 per group. Reversed-text conclusion strip: A narrow #FF4D4D or #1C0B0B horizontal strip with one bold white sentence. This overrides “most slides” in PART A: use it only for strong closure, at most 1 strip per slide. Data pill: A light-gray fill or red outline containing only a short label/ratio; use 1–3 per slide. This is the only standard exception permitting a rounded container. Connector arrows: Fine, straight #454545 lines used only in frameworks; never run them through text.
【Prohibited】 Do not use PART A’s deep royal blue, serif titles, full-slide dark/red backgrounds, multicolor charts with equal visual weight, or green/red positive-negative encoding. Do not use rounded corners except for pills and a single central node. Do not use shadows, gradients, glows, or 3D effects. Use photographs/illustrations sparingly; without a hard requirement, keep the presentation purely vector-based.
【Slide Types and Layouts】 Chart Evidence (occasional)|Differences and explanation|Approximately 60% chart + 40% explanation, or two charts above a table|4–6 blocks|Direct labels, delta box, conclusion strip|Unsuitable for purely qualitative mechanisms. Input–Conversion–Outcome|Definition migration, causality, or resource mapping|30% input on the left, 25% red conversion in the center, 30% outcome on the right|7–10 nodes|Red focal point, straight arrows, light-gray/pale-red modules|Unsuitable for precise coordinate reading. KPI Overview (occasional)|Opening position or final synthesis|Large statement in the upper approximately 25%, matrix in the lower approximately 75%|5–8 blocks|KPI evidence bricks, selective red text|Unsuitable for extended causal reasoning. Action Staircase (occasional)|An explicit four-step sequence|Four columns at 18%–20% each, rising from left to right|4 stages + 4 evidence boxes|Two-digit stage numbers, short arrows, bottom cost strip|Unsuitable for unordered categories.
【Density Baseline】 Do not impose a single hard minimum across the full deck. Chart slides contain 1–2 charts and 3–5 explanation/conclusion blocks; label every column/bar with its value, and reserve 1 callout for the key difference. Framework slides typically contain 7–10 nodes and 4–8 connector lines, with 15–35 words/characters equivalent per node and no more than 3 lines for the central assertion. KPI overview slides use approximately 5 KPIs plus 3 conclusions, with 20–40 words/characters equivalent per block; closing statements use 35–70 words/characters equivalent. Concentrate whitespace between the title and content, between columns, and around arrows; never leave an entire content region without information.
